"SLANG FOR THE AGES" - NYTIMES

Language

It seems that we do not just pull these words out of thin air, and that the term "hipster" was around long before Williamsburg, Shoreditch or Bondi were popular.

However, it is not the first time I have been schooled in such linguistic matters. The first time I uttered the "C" word that shall not be spoken, I was informed by granny of its' very rich heritage.

So next time, before I wanna call some hipster a cunt for pushing in front of me in the line for vegan, gluten free, chai, pumpkin spice shit, I will think twice.

Thanks Granny.
